So, what’s been new for you this week? Have you taken many photos? I feel ashamed at times over how infrequently I photograph my life. I am using my iPhone more for those times when I have no other camera with me. And am making a conscious effort to photograph the kids, no matter what state their hair is in — case in point, yesterday’s Instagram. And now that daylight saving is on the way (did I feel a collective Mexican Wave?), I will be able to take more photos when the babes get home from school before the sun goes down.
On a recent trip to Adelaide I caught up with fellow photographer and all-round gorgeous girl Bridgette of Fresh Imagery to capture her with her special men. Here are just a few favourites. x
I failed my wifely photographer duties and did not get a photo of the kids with Dave yesterday – crazy! Instead, just a few shots of them clowning around outside. x
Imi at the top of the stairs, outside my office, giving a tap-dancing concert.
Speaking of concerts. Dave and I turned full groupie this morning in our quest for Taylor Swift tickets — for the kids of course. We had two computers going, logged in to the ticket site, refreshing every minute until it went live and then got very excited about our awesome seats. x
Imogen is going through a card-making phase. There is always a love heart on the front. The picture in the middle varies. It’s either a drawing of her and I, a giraffe, a flower or a penguin. The words are always the same… It reads, “Mum, I ♥ U, Imogen Baxter”.
Here she is working on a card in the sun.
The second online Love Your Camera workshop begins this Monday, for those who have a fair understanding of Manual Mode and want to learn more. Still a few places! x
Clearly, with my youthful appearance, I’m sure you are thinking… ” how is that possible?” Well friends, my first baby turns 10 tomorrow. Such a milestone birthday and I can’t wait for her special day.
She is having a party on the weekend that involves lots of cute art activities. She is a girl who loves to draw and create things, so that is what her party will be. Will turned 8 last week and his party was just, um… Crazy! 16 boys – I really didn’t get a chance to take many photos. But I hope to record Jazzy’s properly as 10 is super special and I will try share some pics.
Here is Jazzy B at Red Rock Canyon earlier this year.
