We stayed outside of Hobart at Clifton Beach in the most wonderful beach house. Four doors down we found this. At sunrise.

This littlest of blessings was born yesterday. Willow Gabriella. She is my darling friend Tuesday’s third child. And my godchild. Tuesday asked me to be there just after she was born; to capture her newness, their love, the family’s first feel of complete, and simply, this tiny new wonder in her first few hours.
With her husband Nick, we shared tears of true joy as their “little mouse” squeaked in their arms. I did my best to hang back and document this special day quietly. Before she was three hours old I had taken over 200 photographs. Still so many to go through, but I wanted to post these while the feeling was fresh. xo

We spent a day at Port Arthur. Chilling, eerie and one of the most visually spectacular corners of the world. The kids were fascinated with the history of convict transportation the old convict gaol — Will in particular. He only asked 268 questions about leg-irons. I would definitely say this is a must-see place — even better on a good-weather day.

The scenery on the drive down is heavenly too. I’m no landscape photographer, but this gives you an idea.

Seven Mile Beach. Cold but sunny. We went here twice and were the only people on the beach on both occasions.

We are back from 10 gorgeous days in Tasmania. I try not to let the camera take over the holiday, but I still have a gazillion photos to remind me of our trip. Lots I would love to share, so I will spread them over a few days.
First up — some beach scrawlings from the Jaz-meister, with Mt Wellington in the background.

And our only family portrait.

A lovely mummy and her handsome boys on their incredible property on the outskirts of Canberra. The best part about this business is the making of new friends. x

This wonderful wonderful family got together for Beryl’s birthday (a special one!), for a weekend of fun and some photos. We battled the rain, made the most of a grey sky and found a vacant block of land to capture these.
Beryl and Ron showing us all how love and a long marriage is done.

And the little guy who has an artist for a mummy. You can just see her painting hanging on the wall behind him.
