Client Post: St Kilda Family Photography

Mon May 7, 2012

The weather has been pretty miserable in Melbourne over the last week, so blogging photos of these darlings on a dreamy St Kilda morning has brought a little sunshine to my day.  Hopefully yours too :) x

The Veldhovens

Mon April 16, 2012

Photos for dear friends who have been wanting a family session for so long, and we finally got around to it on a glorious autumn morning last week. Tuesday wanted simple photos that captured where they are right now, with lots of love and cuddles thrown in.

There is so much I love about this family — but mostly I think it is their “take us as you find us” attitude.  The Veldhoven door is always open, love and generosity flow in abundance, and I’m very lucky to be their friend. x

Client Post: Glorious freedom

A series of a divine little love.

It would seem quite ludicrous to say to a child, “just be yourself!”  Don’t you think?  It wouldn’t occur to them to be any other way.  x

Baby Photography

Tue November 15, 2011

An incredibly scrumpy bub.

A bit of sass from big sister.

And some good old sibling love.

The sibling shots above were all shot on 50mm 1.2 lens at ISO 1000, f/3.2 and 1/500s — approx. 2m from window light. x

Family Love

Sometimes when I photograph gorgeous little kiddies, I like to take very serious shots of them.  x

Family Photos

Sat October 29, 2011

I am tapping away here very early on a rainy Saturday morning.  My trip to Ballarat for an engagement session as been post-poned due to the wild weather, so me and my loves have found ourselves with a free Saturday together we weren’t expecting.  We are all still in pj’s.  Hot chocolates and coffees and toast and eggs have been had.  The kids are on to game number 4 and I am blogging.  Later we are getting the sewing machine out and making bookmarks for presents (to family reading this, you can act surprised if they happen to be included in your Xmas gift!).

I haven’t really sewn anything before.  I bought a sewing machine when I became a mother, thinking idealistically that motherhood would involve much making of costumes (despite my awkward use of pins and needles).  I made a few baby blankets — well… cut squares of material and hemmed the edges.  And then the sewing machine was packed safely away… to be resurrected today, on this rainy quiet Saturday, to teach my darlings to sew ;)

And now, a beautiful family from a recent Sydney session.  The next Sydney sessions will be in early 2012, so please drop me a line to me@angiebaxter.com.au if you are interested. x

Dancing on Mum’s Bed

Sat October 1, 2011

During a recent session, this little love made a quick backstage costume change and gave an impromptu dance concert on her parent’s bed. Love! x

This beautiful family have work/life balance sussed.  Working from home and raising their little fella together.  A trip to the local cafe followed by the park is their favourite family activity — so that’s what we did.  x

Mum and her Girl

Fri June 17, 2011

Time with mum.  Winter, morning sessions… I love.

After looking through all the photos, this little sweetheart decided she loved this one of herself.  So cute x
