For a goal-setter and list-writer, such as myself, there is no greater day than New Years Eve. This really is the day where we come into our own. The perfect day for reflection, planning, laying down new ideas and resurrecting old ones, turning over every corner of our lives with a fine-tooth comb. Or is that just me?
I was going through my images for 2010, trying to work out which to include in a New Years’ slideshow or post. In the end, I thought I would share just a few random and very simple images of my heavenly, heavenly children from the last 6 months. Nothing special, just quick captures from around the house.
Beautiful 2010 clients, workshop attendees, models, blog readers, friends… thank you so very much for spending some of your precious time reading this little old blog. I hope 2011 is your most fabulous year. I hope the dreams you are dreaming become your reality.
Much love all… now I have a few lists to write x

Ashley and Chris are the most adorable couple ever. We all fell in love straight away and chatted, laughed, had a ball and dreamed of photo shoots with their children for the future. They aren’t pregnant yet — we just daydreamed
These guys were married in July of this year in Canada (in Ashley’s hometown), and wanted to create a tradition where they have their photos taken every Christmas. This is Ashley’s first Australian Christmas so we thought the beach was the perfect location.
I loved the session, love the photographs, and love them… xox

I met Mary earlier this year at a Love Your Camera workshop in Brisbane. Having her passion for photography reignited, Mary attended The Scoop a few months ago and that weekend I got to hang out with her beautiful family on a warm afternoon not far from their home. I love these guys. Here is all their love squished into some photographs xx

Mary has hit the ground running with her photography — visit her blog here. x

We have just had such a relaxing weekend in the Yarra Valley with our gorgeous friends. Tuesday and I were shooting a wedding there, so we turned it into an entire weekend of fun and chill out time. The cabins we rented were adjoining with a massive verandah that we shared. The door between the houses was permanently open and the kids moved between the two constantly. We had bush walks and torch games in the dark. Late nights and lazy starts. A glorious part of the world and a much needed break.

The kids woke me up very excited to report they had spotted loads of kangaroos outside. 6am in the Yarra Valley = spectacular.

And we went hunting for the perfect winery for lunch.

And found Train Trak Wines. The best wood-fired pizzas you will have and a scrummy Shiraz to wash it down. Our dear travel buddies — Tuesday and her gang.

All the kids lined up to roll down the hill.

It just looked like so much fun… Tuesday and I couldn’t help ourselves.

Here is Tuesday and her new Facebook profile

Jacque was 29 years old when right before Christmas, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Six months later (May 09) and in extreme pain, she was told it had spread. Jacque now has advanced breast cancer that has spread to other parts of her body. Each scan has brought more bad news. She is currently on chemotherapy and awaiting her next scan.
Jacque lives in rural Victoria, with her handsome hubby and their three divine little girls. A gorgeous friend of Jacque’s contacted me asking how we might be able to take some photos of her precious family. And just recently I took the drive north to meet Jacque and her family on their property and it was two of the most special hours of my life.
A women so young, so full of courage. Her smile could not have been brighter for her family. She was an absolute rock, jollying them through the morning — doing their hair, helping them choose outfits, washing faces, singing, making jokes. I learned so many lessons that day.
Along with the rollercoaster ride of the last two years, Jacque climbs mountains every day to raise her girls, run her business (Pettiskirt Princess) and be the best wife, daughter and friend she can be. You are an incredible, inspiring and amazing woman Miss Jacque.
So much love for you friend xoxoxo
Jacque has allowed me to share her incredible personal story with the reminder to all women, please check your breasts regularly.

The girls had seen some photos on my website of children being hung upside down, and they were very keen to try that themselves

You can see the girls in the background here… preparing for the ambush!

This week Imi has been enjoying her bed and her books. I love when little kids do their version of reading, making up the words as they go along. So very gorgeous.
Today Imogen raided the advent calendar. She emerged from her bedroom with the empty cardboard box, doors flapping, chocolate smeared around her mouth. ”Why did you eat them all Imi?” ”I was just really, really starving.” Hmmm.
