My baby

Thu September 30, 2010

Waaahh… my baby is growing.  Imogen is a tough little nut — keeps up with the big kids, especially the boys.  Right before I took this photo she was impressing Will with her kicking skills, making claims of joining Auskick, etc.  Then I asked for her “thinking face”.  x

Mother and Bubby

Wed September 29, 2010

The past month saw the launch of The Scoop workshops in Sydney and Adelaide.  Despite completely losing my voice for one of the Sydney workshops (oh gang, so sorry about that!!) and being rained out of one of our live shoots, they went off without a hitch.  I am in heaven teaching about what I love.

The live sessions were a good opportunity for attendees (a.k.a. very gorgeous beings) to watch me shoot and see how I interact with clients, talk about settings, poses, light choices.  These photographs are from Sydney.  In one of the bedrooms, on a chair bathed in soft window light, there was just a snuggle with bare bubby skin. x

Playing

Tue September 21, 2010

Imogen is just so cute and crazy.  While the others were watching Junior Masterchef on Sunday night, Imi and I lay down on the floor of my office to cuddle.  Her cuddles last around 2secs… and then she was all about using me as a climbing frame.  I think her hair just makes her crazier.  And my camera bag was right on the floor beside me.

“Ooooone, twoooooo, fweeeee…”

Bouncing on my stomach for the big jump off.

And climbing up the ladder to come down the slide :)

Bed Hair

Our bed is actually Imogen’s bed too.  Most nights we get a friendly little visitor curling up inbetween us.  And when she wakes, she reads a little story.  Love her x

It’s not just my camera that comes along for family outings.  Jaz and Will bring theirs too.  So our family time is often laden with photo ops, but we don’t mind.

After a brilliant week in Sydney (which included two workshops, eight live shoots, one client session and a lost voice), we just felt like mooching around the city with the kids on Saturday.  88th floor Eureka Tower – we discovered that none of us suffer from acrophobia.

Out of Town

Tue September 7, 2010

After many long days and nights preparing info, worksheets, models, goody bags… we are ready to start The Scoop workshops in Sydney this week.   My lovely hubby is coming with me — fun, fun, fun.  Mum and Tony are looking after the kids – who are excited because they have clipboards each like we have for the attendees.  We all love stationery deep down, don’t we :)

So Sydney, please put on some good weather for our shoots!  x

Breakfast

Fri September 3, 2010

We are a porridge in winter family.  Occassionally we’ll have eggs, of any variety… or toast… with avocado as the common request from the kids.  But usually, it’s porridge.

And our crazy Imogen likes donut porridge (porridge with cinnamon).  I was taking her photo at breakfast and she was giving me the classic “cheese” photo face — so instead I asked what she was having for breakfast and got this scrumpy face. :)

Look at the amazing trick from this darling little boy.  And not a once-off either :)   In a pocket of soft morning light, in a small section of their new home, this little fella was totally loved on by his parents (and me!). x
