The Busy Belt

A little commercial photography for the new children’s label ben&liv.  Suzanne designs and hand-makes a glorious range of pinafores, bags, bunting and these super cute “busy belts”.  She has a keen eye for design, and is inspired by high quality, chic fabrics.

This busy belt shown here now lives around Imogen’s waist.  It is perfect for the little tidbits our kids love to carry around.  To see more of Suzanne’s range, available fabrics and pricing – she would love to hear from you… snealey@hotmail.com

Our Rainy Sunday

After my session yesterday, despite the rain, we were keen to get out of the house and take a trip into town.  Lunch at our favourite place in the city, Automatic, where I ordered my all time most favouritest meal EVER – dahl.  Our waiter was so kind and gave the kids big balls of pizza dough to play with which was loads of fun.  Then we went to Imax for some Shrek 3D – so gorgeous.  I love the Shrek films – Donkey, too funny.  Imogen has only been to the cinema once before and went very well with her first 3D experience.  How was your Sunday? x

Just another morning

The day begins with too many people in a queen size bed.

Five different breakfasts, black coffee – extra hot, missing school notes, where are my socks?, irrational lunch order requests, where are my shoes?, spilt yoghurt, a broken bowl, has anyone seen the brush?, football flying through the lounge room, those missing shoes were left outside overnight and are now wet, can’t find a matching pair of socks, who took my phone?, yay – we have a pair, everyone in the car, did you brush your teeth? – no, everyone back out of the car, brush your teeth, cuddles, back in the car…

And our crazy Boo (wearing bed hair, old breakfast and her sister’s inside-out nightie) is always at the epicentre of another chaotic morning in the Baxter household.  Organised would be boring, right?

Perth

In Perth I found this, and I loved it.

I also loved the Hyatt bircher muesli but I didn’t photograph that.

Portrait Photography Melbourne

Antoinette is a Melbourne-based artist who produces one-of-a-kind large scale paintings for homes and offices.  Her work is breathtaking.  And during our session I was fortunate to see the beginnings of a new abstract piece.  It is inspiring to see an artist get truly lost in their work.

These photographs are for her website.  I think they perfectly capture the warm and creative personality behind Ferwerda Art.
